Non-essential stores re-opening from Wednesday 2 December

We’re excited to welcome everyone back to The Trafford Centre from Wednesday 2 December with our non-essential stores allowed to re-open. Restaurants will remain closed for eat-in dining with some offering a takeaway service and leisure attractions will remain closed.

We’ve been hard at work preparing for the safe return of shoppers and staff and we have extra precautions in place to meet the government’s new tier 3 guidelines.

H2O Car Valeting provides a wide range of premium, convenient valeting services. Whether you need an interior deep clean, intensive paintwork protection, a high definition wax or just a quick wash and wax, we have a treatment to leave your pride and joy gleaming and smelling like new. And if you’re not sure which service is right for you, the fantastic customer service team will point you in the right direction.

Disabled & Parent & Child Parking

Parent & child parking

Our car parks provide easy, safe and direct access into the centre for shoppers with little ones. There are plenty of parent and child spaces in all of the car parks.

Disabled parking

We have plenty of designated parking spaces in all the Centre car parks. Most are sites within easy reach of the main entrances. Centre Security personnel patrol the car parks and will deal with any parking abuse of the spaces set aside for customers with disabilities.

Electric Car Charging

You can find electrical parking points on Regent 13 car park opposite Aerial Extreme high ropes adventure course and Peel 4 car park on the lower level.

The EV points here at the centre are part of the new Greater Manchester EV scheme, Be.EV. Further details can be found here

Hotels

Can't fit all your shopping, dining and fun into one day? No problem there are five hotels to choose from including a Premier Inn right outside the Great Hall at the Coach House & Brewery, a Holiday Inn Express near to Barton Square and a further Premier Inn and Travelodge close by at TraffordCity.

Trafford Centre is located about five miles west of the city centre with several conveniently situated transport links and parking for 11,500 vehicles.

Parking

The Trafford Centre has 18 car parks and 11,500 parking spaces including disabled, parent and child spaces and EV charging. Passenger lifts and escalators give easy access from each car park directly to the shopping centre.

Transport options

As well as easy access by car from the M60 motorway with free parking, The Trafford Centre is also accessible by Metrolink tram, nearby train stations, a dedicated bus station, secure cycle parking and an on-site private hire taxi service.

Tax Free Shopping

If you live outside the EU, then you can claim back the tax on most of your purchases. The majority of stores at intu Trafford Centre offer tax free shopping so speak to the staff as you shop for more information. Just follow the simple steps below:

  1. Get it - While doing your shopping at intu Trafford Centre just ask the staff in the shop for a tax refund form. This will either be printed on your receipt or a form filled in by the staff.
  2. Stamp it - When you're leaving the country, take your purchases, receipts and passport to the customs desk to get your Tax Refund Form(s) stamped.
  3. Cash it - Send the validated form in the prepaid envelope and you will receive your refund directly onto your payment card. At Manchester Airport you can drop your form into the tax free refund postbox as you go through airport security.

If you need any more information while you're shopping at the Centre, just ask at the Customer Service Desk in the Main Dome. They also have this information available in Mandarin and Arabic as well as English.

You'll find toilet facilities in The Orient food court, on lower Regent Crescent and upper Peel Avenue - with facilities for children, baby changing and dedicated disabled toilets including assisted change facilities.

Baby bottle warming

You'll find baby bottle warming facilities conveniently located in The Orient food court. Just ask one of our friendly team and they'll be pleased to help.

Fun buggies

Latest update: Unfortunately due to COVID19 restrictions we are unable to hire fun buggies at this moment, but we will be sure to update you as soon as we are able to.

You'll find Fun Buggies available to hire at the Customer Service desk on lower Peel Avenue. These are miniature cars which are great for keeping the kids smiling while you shop. You can even hire a life size Playmobil fire engine or police car!

Highchairs


We want to make mealtimes with children at The Trafford Centre as easy as possible, and so we have plenty of high chairs available for free in The Orient food court lower level.

Lost children

Sometimes little ones can get separated from their grown ups, so should that happen we've got some handy advice to help keep everyone together.

Parent & Baby rooms

When a nappy needs changing, mummy needs a rest, or a toddler needs taming, our parent and baby rooms are on hand to give you a calming and peaceful environment.

Here at The Trafford Centre you'll find baby changing facilities, nappy dispensers and private areas for feeding - all conveniently located in all the main toilet areas.

Pushchair hire

Latest update: Due to COVID19 restrictions we are unable to hire pushchairs at this moment, but we will be sure to update you as soon as we are able to.

Left your buggy at home? No problem. Pushchairs can be hired in the centre

Pushchairs from Mamas & Papas can be hired at the Customer Service desk in the Main Dome. There is a refundable £20 deposit required as well as proof of ID.
