At Trafford Centre, we believe Christmas magic should be enjoyed by everyone.
Our dedicated SEND Santa Grotto sessions offer a calmer, more relaxed Christmas experience for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families.
Specially adapted SEND Christmas sessions include:
- Reduced visitor numbers and a quieter atmosphere
- Additional time and space to enjoy the experience
- Supportive event staff
- The same magical HARIBO Holly Jolly Grotto journey and Santa experience
Spaces are limited, so advance booking is recommended.

Please allow approximately 30 minutes for your experience, including check-in and souvenir purchases. We recommend arriving no more than 5 minutes before your booked session, as arriving early will not allow earlier entry.
Please ensure you leave enough time for parking as it can get extremely busy during the festive period.
If you arrive early, we’d recommend checking out the close-by Christmas fair and markets!
Yes! Every booking will enjoy a private meet-and-greet with Santa in his HARIBO Holly Jolly Grotto. You’ll have the chance to spend time with him and have your photo taken while immersed in the magical world of HARIBO.
Babies in arms do not require a ticket when attending with siblings. However:
- Each family booking must include at least one child ticket
- Babies attending as the only child in the group will require a child ticket
- Anyone wanting to receive a HARIBO plush gift from Santa will need the appropriate paying ticket type.
Yes, all ticketed children with a valid paying child ticket will receive a special gift from Santa. The gift includes a plushy and some sweets in a giftbag, and is not wrapped. Babies in arms will require a paying ticket if you wish them to receive a gift.
Our experiences are designed to be calm, magical environments and are fully accessible for wheelchair-users.
We also offer SEND sessions. Please refer to the booking website for available dates or contact the team if you have specific accessibility requirements.

The HARIBO Holly Jolly Grotto is located within a fully covered tented venue within the Trafford Centre car park, Manchester (M17 8AA). You can find this right outside the Orient food court. What3words: ///radio.with.order
The Trafford Centre is easily accessible by bus, tram, train, car, bicycle and on foot. Parking is available but gets extremely busy during peak times. Please ensure you allow plenty of time to park before your booking slot. If you miss your session time due to parking difficulties, unfortunately there is no guarantee you will be able to go into a later session as they are likely to be full.
