keeping you safe
Where is it?
Summer Social will be situated outside The Orient, opposite The Great Hall entrance.
When is it open?
The fun fair and beach will be open until 26th September.
Do I need to prebook to attend or can I just walk in?
There is a £3.50 entry fee (£3 if booked in advance) to the beach area, with fairground rides priced individually. Your entry also includes some great offers from retailers within the centre, which can be found here. Under 2s go free, as do carers if accompanied by one full paying ticket. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. We’d recommend booking your entry in advance, particularly at weekends.
The food and events area is free to enter, where you can enjoy some ice cold beverages and dishes from independent food & drink brands.
How much do the rides cost?
You’ll need to purchase ride tokens to enjoy the rides. Each token costs £1, with each ride costing from 1 – 5 tokens each. You can also purchase a bundle of tickets for £20 which is the equivalent of 25 ride tokens.
What about COVID-19, how are you keeping people safe?
In order to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit, we’ll continue to have a number of COVID-19 safety measures in place.
We’ll have capacity limits in place during busier times, and visitors are welcome to wear a face covering if they wish. Face coverings may be required on a number of rides (unless you have a valid exemption).
Please keep your hands clean and stay at home if you’re feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation!
What if it rains, won’t I get wet? Is there any shelter from the sun/rain?
We can’t always count on our Great British weather – especially in Manchester – but we’re sure you’ll still have a great time whatever the weather! Do come prepared with your umbrella and a coat, and you’ll also find a large, covered event space where you can enjoy your food and drinks if you wish.
If the sun has got his hat on, make sure you wear yours too - and don’t forget your suncream as there is limited shelter at the beach!
