keeping you safe

Latest information

Non-essential stores are open.

We’re excited to welcome everyone back to The Trafford Centre with our non-essential stores allowed to re-open. Restaurants will remain closed for eat-in dining with some offering a takeaway service and indoor leisure attractions will remain closed.

We’ve been hard at work preparing for the safe return of shoppers and staff and we have extra precautions in place to meet the government guidelines – please take a moment to read our FAQs here.

Planning ahead

To make sure your visit is a safe and enjoyable as possible we've put together some top tips for planning ahead:

1. Dress for the weather

In order to keep everyone safe and maintain social distancing we've put limits on the number of visitors we have in the centre. This means at busier times you may have to queue outside prepare for those April showers and bring a brolly.

2. Look for quieter shopping times

If you're hoping to visit the centre when it's at its quietest we'd recommend keeping an eye on our quieter shopping times page.

3. Don't forget your mask

Visitors must wear a face covering which covers the nose and mouth whilst inside the centre and within stores, unless exempt. Read about all our safety measures here.

4. Check store opening times

While the centre will be open from 10am - 9pm weekdays, 10am - 9pm Saturdays and 12noon - 6pm Sundays.

If you're planning to visit a particular store we recommend contacting them direct as individual store opening times can change without notice. Check the Shop directory for contact details.

5. Shop with your household/bubble only

You must shop with those who you live with or are in a support bubble with. If possible we would recommend making your shopping trip a solo one to help reduce queues and maintain social distancing to keep each other safe.

Finish your shop then grab something tasty to take home

Until the next stage on the roadmap out of lockdown, cafes and bars are not allowed to open for eat-in dining, they can offer a takeaway or click & collect service. Food must be eaten outside the centre so once you've completed your shopping trip, treat yourself to a delicious takeaway.

Some restaurants will have outdoor seating available and visitors are also welcome to enjoy their takeaways on one of our many outdoor benches or to take home.
